:-) What a wealth of info and the ability to network is priceless.Me: 56, California SF Bay Area (East Bay) native, in the tech industry, starting to think seriously about retirement, 4 SFH rentals in SLC area, Albuquerque area, Dallas area, and Memphis (TX and TN are paid off). 

There is a GIANT project from a Chinese investment company on Jefferson and 21st that has hundreds of millions being invested into new SFH and retail.

I am a senior undergraduate student at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.

We had a revolving 0, giant goose egg, and we were both savers but had one of those nice A frame relationships where weird things happen as the top of the A crumbles... 

This being said I am still going to be going to college ( Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, or UNC) for business/Real Estate majors.

People investing in high cost areas look at more than cash flow, just as people investing in high growth (e.g. tech) companies look for more than current earnings. 

Radiology tech can make 100k with 2 yr degree.A side gig with Postmates will always be capped near minimum wage.

I live in the Bay Area of California, where I work in tech, particularly in hardware design and manufacturing - and have a huge passion for Virtual and Augmented Reality - it is the next wave of computing - and yes - I'm a bit of a recovering tech geek.
