I would just like to keep learning as much as possible and network with people in the area in efforts to find a mentor who sees my potential, motivation, and relentless persistence.

Do a live in flip.)To be successful in real estate you need these Ingredients - knowledge, networking, money, determination/persistence and if you don't have any of these things then you need a lot of SWEAT equity to get those three things.Some of us who are older have some money, networking (just by nature of being older and having met a lot of people along the way).   

My future wife told me of deals she could get and frankly they seemed a better bet than buying a 911, so I was all in.And I've said before, would have lost less money on the 911, but I persisted, and bought more.

My local bank had always said no but was persistent and kept asking.

I enjoy helping those who appreciate my help, and I abstain from helping those who place little value on my advice, or participating in threads that deteriorate into chaos.I guess I'm from the  old school, in that I believe people who need something should come ask for it - and if they're serious, they should persist.  

I guess it's just having that persistence to get into the top 20%!

It is getting harder to get good deals on REOs but they are still out there if you're persistent.

Maybe not this month, maybe not next, but patience and persistence should pay off. 

There is always a way off you are persistent.
