This raised some doubt and we communicated to our agent that we are not satisfied but she kept insisting “there’s nothing you can do” and “you went non contingent” Then later she sent an email saying we passed the 17 day inspection period which we didn’t know about.

Aven's rates were quite a bit higher, but I understand the risk tradeoff.However, I'm annoyed by these companies that make it difficult to get someone on the phone and want to do all biz by email!

However, I am flexible in making temporary lifestyle changes to help better position myself within real estate.

I always text or email (depending on the tenant's preference) the day before any showing.By not communicating with the tenants, landlords and property managers are shooting themselves in the foot.

That's the same site that my brother uses for his rentals, but I read somewhere that the emails that tenants get from that site can be mistaken for spam since they look outdated apparently.

Just because they are "X" doesn't mean they are good or bad....and those questions will help you filter through them easier.And hard money is temporary money. 

I continue to get emails from Steve Mayer of Finance holding Company, but he keeps wanting me to pay a deposit + his 2% origination fee upfront...seems like a scam and wanted to see if anyone has done business with them in the past
