The sheen of the paint ( flat, eggshell, satin, semi or full gloss ) should always be the same if painted properly, where you may see a difference between new and old work is the texture of the wall as previously painted ones have more roller texture, your fresh wont.

I agree with others to use quality paint, quality brushes like Purdy or Wooster and even quality roller nap.

I agree, as I understand it defaulting corporate debt should be the culprit this time around, then the dominos will start to fall with cutbacks, layoffs and eventually unemployed homeowners having to sell, flooding the market with inventory and values heading down the roller coaster track.

If you’re on the fence about painting it yourself buy good quality angled brushes about 1.5” wide for the cutting in and good quality medium nap rollers and it’s a piece of cake.
