Updates would include granite countertops, hardwood floor in the living room and installing flooring in the Florida room.

You don't need granite counter tops, or a roof top pool.  

It's half the size, can go in under a kitchen counter top just like a dishwasher, and doesn't require external venting since it uses condensation for drying.

Painted cabinets are becoming more popular now-don't think it has to be a sterile white but a soft neutral grey could work if you have the right countertops and backsplash.
