The learning to price ratio is pretty small.Most RE gurus will give you some "rah rah rah" speech about how much money you're going to earn, how you will change your life, when in reality, it's a lot of hard work.

Too many days of freezing in the michigan winter hammering nails and standing on a six inch wall 20 feet up trying to guide trusses that are swinging from a crane & hoping the winter wind don't send you on a quick trip down while the builder sits warmly in his brand new truck talking on his phone.

I saw law, economics, accounting even a speech class (no idea how that works on a computer).Thanks for the post!

My partner and I went to hear Ann Goldschmidt giveher "hotel meeting" teaser yesterday.It was a 90 minute preview of her 3 day course onShort Selling homes.The course comes complete with a private websitewhere you can easily find out what homes in yourarea are in pre-foreclosure (missed payments) andwhat they are worth, and how much is owed on them.They also give free leads to their graduates and oneyear intensive hand-holding support if you need it.By "free leads" I mean that graduates who find dealsbut are way too busy nowadays to do them, willhand them off to newer graduates who may be struggling to get started.Now to the preview: Of hotel meeting speeches I'veheard this was one of the best.

I know people who have done this only to find that the pissed-off homeowners (at the bank) last horrah was to destroy the house including pouring cement down drains, stealing stives, cutting up the trusses/joists with a power saw, stealing the copper from the electrical, dumping horse crap in the house, etc.
