I remember similar aized cement/Fiberglas bunkers being sold & built in Darwin Australia after cyclone Tracy Hit.

At the end of last year the code enforcer was on me for the old worn out cedar siding so I went ahead and replaced it with fiber cement siding along with some new windows.  

I had an itemized spreadsheet of material costs from grout to cement backboard.

The home is on a cement slab.

But if you are supplying all items: the inventory list will include drywall/cement board, screws, corner beads, mortar, tiles, grout, sealer, cabinets, appliances, countertops, electric boxes, ROMEX wiring, likely both 3 and 4 wire and in typically 16 gauge could vary.  

But the kicker that cemented my decision was there wasn’t any optimism from the commercial lenders and that killed my spirit.

The dishwasher gets put in when the kitchen has a sheet-vinyl floor with a stapled-in luan backing, then the vinyl gets ripped out and cement board and large-format tile goes in.

Sounds like you're similar to me and that David Greene's book really cemented the idea of how practical investing out-of-state really can be.My first rental will be done and ready for tenants this next week and I have yet to see the property in person.Looking to eventually get into multi-family soon as well.Cheers!

I would much prefer my first introduction to not leave everyone with the impression I am idiot (assuming my first three posts here have not already cemented as much).

My first question is: does anyone know if the smell would be able to seep through the cement?
