Though I prefer to go head-on with things. 

I really appreciate you us giving a heads up here and am sorry for what you went through with them. 

@Nick L.Your reasoning is always part of prime importance to professional investors but over the heads of hobby investors.

I let them know I was in over my head but I would eventually get things right.

So far I got the Chase Ink card, but the funding process is moving very slowly and with very, very low limits.I hope that clarifies where I'm at in my head (still trying to figure this out!)

If you are young and have not collected kids, dogs, and commitments, I'd suggest putting your head down, delaying gratification, working your a$$ off (get a second job, drive for uber, deliver pizzas, buy a pressure washer and knock on doors asking to pressure wash driveways, etc.), living off of next to nothing, and looking up in 12 months to re-evaluate.
