The bigger cabins are much rougher as groups - sports teams, schools, church groups, multi-family groups, etc. - tend to damage things. 

Did you simply tell the tenants that you'd like to connect a few devices to their WiFi router? 

If I were to blow it on a sports car then that would be a terrible waste.
