I agree with the above advice: Get a professional carpet cleaner and pay them to deep clean, get a handyman to touch up the holes and paint touch up paint and repair/replace the kitchen cabinet door or associated hardware, then get a professional cleaning crew to scrub the kitchen, bathroom and rest of house.

Every wall had to be scrubbed and painted, we had to rip up 90% of the flooring, laid our own tile(which turned out perfect but was one tough exhausting experience), tore down a non-permitted room and built a screened in porch, along with many other small fixes.

I should have mentioned, I will definitely scrub the list as far as replacing all 5 water heaters vs. hanging on to some of them, appliance replacement vs. cleaning etc etc.
