It's better to go with a moderate sized loan, like $3-10MM rathern than a small one under that price.

So, should I take the usual route and go to college and study business, or accounting, or medicine, or something else I don't really care about in order to get a moderate-paying job, go out to the suburbs and get a cute little house and get a 9 to 5 job doing crap I don't care about, then come home and watch tv and go to sleep, then wake up the next morning and do it all over again?

IIRC he had netted about 5%-6%/year.BTW, both of these guys did some of their own work, annual painting, some of the appliancce updates etc, during their "off-peak" stays.While we're actively looking for a "second" home in a more moderate climate, both of our places will be strictly for our personal use.all cash

Uwe, if you looked back to the post that reactivated this old thread, you will see that the moderator had to remove a solicitation from someone who obviously did not read the participation rules, or just did not care about them.
