Forum Avatars (Member Photos)

Lately, many of our members have decided to start adding their own images as their Avatar (forum image). I have been extremely pleased to see this, as it helps to make things a bit more personal.

I hope many more of you decide to personalize yourself by sharing what you look like with the rest of us!

That said, if anyone needs help putting their image up on the site as their avatar, here are some steps.

1. Find a great close-up photo of yourself
2. shrink it down in size to 80 pixels wide (MAX). If you need help shrinking the image, here is a handy tool: http://resizr.lord-lance.com/
3. Find a site that offers "free image hosting" and upload the image to the site, being sure to note the web address of the image. (try to google "free image hosting")
4. Edit your Profile ( http://forums.biggerpockets.com/profile.php?mode=editprofile ), and place the URL for the image where it says Link to off-site Avatar:
5. Viola! Congrats.
