The old tenants used used hair dye that stained the tub, when they left they were able to scrub off the dye but now there is a section of the tub- where about 18" x 8" of the tub enamel has been scrubbed off and is discolored and rough.

If it's strictly for design, then away we go.First: clean clean clean clean clean clean, scrub, clean and then clean again... lol it's kind of important... dust and dirt isn't good, yellowing NEEDS to be dealt with correctly.

The product I use is Moldex which I order online.First I wiped it with soap and water, then scrub it with the Biocide (Moldex) for 10 minutes.

All of the jobs that my husband has done for mold, usually for Bank Foreclosures or Homeowner's, has required him to use Bleach and scrub the area after the drywall, etc. has been removed.
