She spoke with the listing agent and felt that the "good ole boys" in the commercial space would be very difficult to remove, possibly causing some sort of retaliation on the property, the house needed a roof replacement which I did not see due to the snow when I was there and because of the 70 history of the commercial space she felt the property was toxic with who know what was being dumped there.

@Jacob Scholes   Safe is a relative term.....no disrespect but if you grew up in Santa Rosa (I used to party at The Daily Planet and The Funhouse there and I do know that area) then you may not feel "safe" having your wife alone for months at a time in East Oakland.
