Maybe some other smaller cities Red Deer ex...I see many 60-100k homes, smaller sqft, older, need lipstick and maybe 10k in new cabinets etc.For those of you who know the area, do you suggest spend the extra money and get a turn key 200k unit, or gamble on the lower end, dump in 20k, and rent it out.Regina seems to have a very small availability of homes for rent, only condos.

Truthfully, If it was just me living in the house I would be able to "survive" paying it off my myself, but I think I would really be gambling it lol, but once I get roommates it should be fine.

The HOA decides to raise dues, the rental cap is met, a special assessment gets slapped on your association and BAMN your cash flow just went out the window.Condos are, in my mind, a gamble, your investment is at the mercy of others decisions and often those other peoples interests aren't in line with mine.

I did some research for a client of mine regarding a raffle of cosmetic surgery and raffles appear to be gambling (at least in the state he wanted to do it).It may be different if you were doing it for charity -- as in, all proceeds go to the charity and no one profits from it.

The bank could foreclose and wipe out any fraudulent lien that you tried to encumber the property with.
