I try to collaborate with builders that are good business managers as well.

It's all about those collaborations, especially in the green building market where investors/developers are few and far in between.. at least for now.Leveraging government incentives like tax credits and grant funding is a must do - it's one of the only ways to rise above the currently high price point for "going green."

I've read that it's best to offer some kind of mutual benefit when asking for someone's time, but I really don't have anything to offer at this time other than the potential for future collaboration.

But if I can play it when possible, I improve my position and make my company more attractive to potential collaborators by being able to keep commission $$ in the profit column.Thanks again!
