And this is why I wouldn't marry in America...Just put the money into another retirement account and either borrow against the account for the money you need or buy properties and hold them in the retirement account.

I currently work full-time but eventually I would like to do real estate full-time and be completely out of corporate America within the next 5 years.

I didn't realize my inclination to do things my way, which doesn't really work in corporate America, is EXCELLENT if you want to charge ahead of the pack.

She experienced many cycles and knows(feels) that Real Estate prices in America are going to increase (at least because of inflation)She is not expecting even a payback from the loan, ( she says: don't pay me anything now, after you sell it and make a difference) but we want to give her this 3 % anyways

I've always been interested in becoming financially successful - and after an undergraduate, and masters degree - I realize my best opportunity is NOT in corporate America :) I've always been a reader on finance, investing, real estate - so this is a match made in heaven.I'm going to be buying my first home in the next 12 months - so I'm hoping I can make a wise decision that could also double as an investment now, or down the road.
