If the architectural control committee will allow, change the bump outs around the garage door and trim around the windows to a shade that is 50% lighter than the primary paint color on the exterior.

I wanted to choose a dark cabinet color because a light color might make the cabinet look cheap and a darker color will cover up some of the imperfections better.I have a deep red accent wall (this is what the cabinets are lying against) in the white painted kitchen. dark grey-ish tiled floors, black countertop, SS appliances.Are there any interior decorators that can help a guy out?

agreed, don't paint the brick. you can allow the new owners to make that decision, or maybe dye it to be a more modern color like a darker brown or darker gray (i'm not a fan of red brick inside). and paint the bright brass black. but i LOVE the mid century style, it's very cool!

Darker grout also is good for rentals, since there is less worry about discoloration. ;)Because it's a rental, avoid natural stone, especially in a shower.
