That's in East Akron/near South Akron - two the hell holes of Akron, other than Middlebury, Arlington, West Hill, etc.You won't grab anything in Firestone Park for 20k unless it's on the border of South Akron aka not worth it.Since you're an OOS, I'd walk away.Good luck with your search.

@Nicholas WhitesideAs Account Closed mentioned, you'll want to consult tax professionals on both sides of the border before you do anything.Canada treats all US LLCs as C Corps without regard to how they are taxed in the US.An LLC might not be the optimal entity.

It is bordered by East Cleveland, South euclid, Shaker Hts and whatever else. 

I'm a investor, property manager and licensed agent living in the east end of Richmond, bordering with Hanover County (although it sounds like you may be in Ashland).  

If you can get a property that borders the college they may buy it someday for a premium, Union College in Schenectady has been doing that for awhile. 

If done right and with the right people and as we say "Don't check your brain at the border", the risks are majorly mitigated so effectively it sends the reward through the roof. 

Definitely agree there are deals to be had.I just picked up a duplex in EC near the Hammond border and am planning on picking another duplex in the Harbor area shortly.

My dad worked the borders as an officer - Cartel and the resorts literally have a contract where gangs, etc... cannot be active in and around tourist areas - The problems start when tourists leave the resorts and are instructed by the resorts NOT to venture in certain areas, but they do anyways....I see this all the damn time.

@Stacie Elizabeth There was never a condo market in Merion Village...you guys are in the experimental stages here...if your condos sell, they will be #3 and #4 in the last year...the two that have sold are of comparable finishes, but they are further north (priced lower as well)...you are on the Hungarian Village border and things get risky quickly...you're looking for a very special risk tolerant buyer...and they are focused in other areas right now...as Parsons redevelops things will change...you're just early in the game here in a location with no track record.

I'm close the the Illinois border and about 40 minutes from Chicago.
