If your IRA receives an equity portion of profits from the business, it will likely have tax liability via UBIT that would be detrimental.Owning income producing real estate or interest from lending are passive activities not subject to UBIT. 

The vast majority of BP members really dont know anything about how lending really works but are here to learn with many more asking questions about how to be a lender.. 

The only reason we don't qualify for traditional lending is because I took some time off to help my terminally ill father, and my husband has been in a commission-based role for less than a year (the lender said you need 2 years of history for that).

We avoid lending to folks that don't really have their math/numbers together.

With rates and lending terms constantly changing, I’d love to hear from those who have recently closed or explored a blanket loan.Which lenders are offering solid terms right now?
