@Leigh CYour suggestion presumes that its going to be rentable for a sustained period;am actually concerned that with all the damage already done to the property-foundation and structures that its stil rented....not sure how long will last before authorities intervene....

If you're trying to intervene during the probate process and make an offer, you'll need to petition the court (get a lawyer) or contact the person wanting to be an administrator to get them to present that to the court.

Your point about needing two signatures to release the escrow is true, but I'm not sure why that's a bad thing -- that just means that both parties have to agree where the escrow money goes and if they don't agree, a mediator will be required to intervene.If a wholesaler isn't willing to let a mediator intervene in the case of disputed deposit, that tells me that the wholesaler is afraid that he isn't entitled to the deposit, in which case, I think we can all agree that we wouldn't have wanted that wholesaler to take the deposit in his name the first place.In summary, the ONLY reason I can see a wholesaler requiring a deposit in his own name is when the wholesaler is concerned about not getting to keep the deposit in situations when he's not entitled to it.

This morning, the potential buyer tagged along for the appraisal and during this time the tenant intervened and was voicing his own concerns about furnace and A/C issues, of which had not been a concern with the inspection objection.
