A broken furnace or freezing pipes are doubly daunting when you're dealing with cold or snow.

What about utilities when you have a vacancy in the winter and don't want the pipes to freeze?

The local abstractors banded together and brought their records together to try to reconstruct them.Modern day, I'm concerned that a courthouse will become subject to a ransomware attack freezing all transactions.

It would be hard for them to get your money back (scammers avoid the Banks because their fraud departments have the ability to freeze funds and return funds once fraud is confirmed),  but the police will look into this.

You want the temp to be above a minimum temp so the pipes don't freeze.
