While the transmission lines may be a slight drawback, (just thinking what kind of risk or drawback can this be to a potential home buyer) I still think it is a worthwhile investment.

The drawback to a DSCR loan is the PPP (Which can be bought out).

Actually it's good drawback which means they are serious lender/brokers.But at the same time, they should also give compensation at the end, for example giving credit or such or faster closing.  

S8 isn't for everyone and does have draw backs.

The only draw back (minor) is the  time period from application > credit > cash > purchase.

Ofcourse it has it's drawbacks, but generally it's a good place to begin with. 

Biggest drawback is the time, they are slow.

Still no economy to support the increase in home prices, so needless to say we got hit pretty hard in the Crash...Other drawback to the area since there is a shortage of Economy up here, would be the Commute time up and down the Cajon Pass, 4000' elevation climb in just a few miles, " the Pass" has been know to ruin a brand new car before you are even done paying it off, so figure in a new car payment if you are thinking about commuting to work from here...  

The key drawback to this strategy is (much like the Dutch repayment schedule) that the interest will be calculated based on the total loan amount.

There are some drawback to DSTs as well.
