What are the benefits and drawbacks of buying a seller financed home?

It’s a cleaner, more reliable solution, and while the higher subscription cost can feel like a drawback, it’ll save you a lot of headaches and time in the long run.

Another draw back is short term your expenses will be higher because you are paying the mortgage plus paying back the loan but that is a short term draw back until the loan is paid back.How it works: I have experience with my wife's company and mine, each is a little different. 

The draw back to these loans is that they are more paperwork heavy than the other "portfolio" types of loans....but if you have ever received a loan on your primary home, it's likely that you will go through the same type of paperwork here with conventional lending.

But what are the drawbacks?

The only draw back I have is that AMEX isn't accepted everywhere but otherwise we like our AMEX Blue Business Card.

One draw back OSS it’s about 5 hours away from me so I would have to a local PM to over see it.

Not having any other investors around is a drawback, but where do you live and have you even looked for real estate investing meetups closest to you?

I would be careful about doing something in an effort to "make positive cash flow".Section 8 has its pros but there are an equal number of drawbacks.
