One of the people that met me there to see the house was 70ish year old guy who promptly tripped and stumbled/fell ten feet before landing in a pile of snow. 

While you will stumble on houses that aren't interested in selling, neighbors talk, and they may know of someone a few houses down who is contemplating it.

If this is somebody you know and trust then you may have stumbled into a decent deal.  

I am working on my first deal which is an inheritance CASH deal which seems pretty straight forward to me, but alas I am stumbling through without the right kind of legal advice....any referrals would be greatly appreciated...Sean

Bigger Pockets seems like a great place for information, and I'm happy I stumbled upon it at this point. 

I almost dropped thousands on a "guru" until i stumbled upon this site which taught me the same things, if not more.

I stumbled across this site while searching REI and I'm so glad I found it.  

I somehow stumbled across the meetup organized by Charles Nguyen here on BP several weeks ago.
