i live in the caribbean and just about to start out on my journey of fixing and flipping i'm starting my realtors licence in sept this year and i wanted to know if it would be easier for me to just wait until i complete the licence so i wont have to get conned by agents and their commissions when i can just sell it myself i'm looking at residential real estate to start and then move on from there. needs some advice.asapFrancois

Licence is good, affordable is key thoNo need to read the details, I just am hoping for a recommendation, but the details are belowI have a sewage "stack" (the 4" sewage pipe running vertically) that goes from my 2nd floor toilet to 1st floor toilet to basement toilet and all ends up in an ejector pump. power out= the basement floods.pump clogs = basement floodsline clogs = basement floods..and there is so much water going into the pit (3 units) a warning system doesn't help.

As much as I dislike government interference in business I strongly believe landlords need to be educated and licenced prior to being allowed to have tenants otherwise it should be mandatory to use a licenced PM.Buying a property is only the tip of the iceburg regarding being a real estate investor.

you can do alot of work yourself in Oklahoma but some things will require a licence to pull the permit and get the inspection approved.

But we have pretty strong laws to get a home improvement licence , and pretty high criminal penalties if you cheat or dont complete the job , and a criminal offence disqualifies you from getting a license .

(Jawsette) gave an example comparing realtors to attorneys, if the same rules and standards were applied to realtors like attorneys a lot of realtors, like a lot of them would have lost their realtor licence for malpractice!
