This year, the cashflow bought them a cruise in the carribean and a nice long stay in hawaii.

They usually work on shares, and ot's traditional in my area, the logger gets half of the sales price.Most of the loggers are also qualified to timber cruise and can usually give you a pretty good guess at what your logs will bring at the mill.It's also possible to sell the trees as they stand to the mill, and they will send their own logger out to cut them.

(i.e. when it rains does stormwater runoff from properties other than yours flow into or across this strip of floodplain) If so then you can't just fill it without it providing a route for this stormwater to get to its ultimate destination.

A good friend of mine is doing that in Destin, Fl.

Not to mention those already dead, in centers, age-restricted communities, rental units and I am sure a few more, maybe 4-ever cruise. 

When you plug in the cabin address into your GPS, it will tell you that you've reached your destination at the bottom of our property and all you'll see is woods.

The southeast coast of Georgia; Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head in SC; and the Outer banks and Wilmington in NC are all popular vacation rental destinations as well. 

We have about $65k set aside to invest in real estate and can't decide if we should start with a local rental; vacation rental (that we can also use) in Destin, FL area; multi-family local rental; or college town rental where we anticipate our son may go to college in 2 years (College Station - Texas A&M).

I believe you have many options but you first need to know where you are, where you want to be, and map out a route of  how to get to your final destination.
