My understanding is that the PM she originally signed on with was a do-all shop.

I might ask for a bit more communication than you are getting and hear what they have to say....If you're not happy with the response, shop around....

It feels a little safer for me to do it that way.

Also remember it will take time to get them done, during which the home is vacant and not on the market.People shop with their eyes-so many don't care about stuff that is really important (plumbing, electrical, roof, etc). 

You'll shop for a AC unit replacement, you might go with the guy who can save you $2000 if you can wait until the weekend to get it done.

Hey @Clayton Jeanette, I'd shop around, there are very widely varying terms in HELOCs since they are usually held in house by banks.
