Yep, when I'm driving or biking and taking different routes to get to where I'm going, I keep an eye out or 'drive for dollars'. 

But, there are some things you can do:  First, review your associations Covenants or governing documents. 

If you haven't already, keep an eye on recent Colorado legislation regarding tenant/landlord laws.

In what world is that even a rational suggestion - it's the equivalent of saying just close your eyes and everything is going to be okay! 

Also, don't expect straight streets - the roads look like spaghetti dumped on the ground from a birds eye view as the developers wanted to make as many lake view properties as possible. 

I’m seeing that property crime is pretty high and since I’m an out of state investor, I would have a hard time keeping an eye on the ground besides cleaners/handymen between stays. 

So I can keep an eye on that. 

Eyeing Dallas as my starting point. 

I invest to make money, although I always keep an eye on taxes, taxes are a secondary concern to the investment.
