Took photos of the property with a date/time stamp the day of closing, and the remaining funds released upon a final inspection of the property / him turning over the keys.

If you don't move then you can be prosecuted for mortgage fraud and could get accommodations at the nearest fed pen for up to 30 years and you have to pay for it also with a fine of up to $1,000,000.00. 

If your agreement includes a fining system, fine them accordingly.

Ask her to schedule a final walk of the unit on or before (the departure date) with you so that you can arrange for any return of security deposit provided the unit is in satisfactory condition and all contents/trash are removed from the premises. 

As @Caroline Gerardo mentioned, if the lease clause calls out a $ fine per incident, enforce it.

This is always a fine line you have to walk.
