I have studded tyres on my bike}.The only downside I've encountered are owners jumping to the conclusion you could not possible afford to buy their property because ... well, you're on a bike ... if you had money, surely you would drive a car ;-)

While I agree with both of you that the source of the information is little suspect since he is a competitor, my perspective (as an investor) is little different than @Jay Hinrichs (as a borrower/sponsor).I actually agree with the gist of the conclusion of the article: that there is not enough transparency from the sites, and that based on private conversations with investors, there seems to be a lot more failed investments than anyone is admitting to publicly.

Thank You Robert,After having perused this website, I was starting to come to that conclusion but was still unsure as I have to make a decision this weekend on the training, but funny that you mentioned your previous experience as such because I took one such training early on in my RE career and never ended up doing anything with it because if I remember correctly, it was as you describe, short on the key details and a sales pitch for further $ and training..and then I just started focusing on my RE career and fell away from pursuing this goal.

@David Beard :I investigated renting initially and came to the conclusion you mentioned - NYC just doesn't seem like a good market for renting unless your initial investment is huge.Critical for me is a proper understanding or risk involved Private Lending and ways to minimize it.

Long story short, the agent was not putting any effort into our unit (we had conclusive proof of this when one of the visitor told us that they had called a couple of weeks earlier and didn't get a reply).
