I know that, overwhelmingly, it's what you fill your head with that counts, it's the day-to-day actions you take, it's the spouse you marry, it's the systematic choices you make, and perhaps most importantly, the personal hypocrisy you don't allow yourself to get away with.

I went on connected investor and filled out and app and a few days later they called me about a property that i am putting an offer on tomorrow.  

We use a lot of caulk on damaged wood to help fill in gaps, etc - especially up high on the sides of houses.

Some send their email and I forward my application which an even smaller percentage fill out and others never respond or don’t fill out the email.

If all they need to do is walk in, fill out a form and walk out 10 minutes later with a permit in hand, then I wouldn't pay much more than the cost of the actual permit; if it's a process where they need to spend several hours waiting at the permit department, negotiating with inspectors, etc., then that's more time investment that you should be helping cover.

I might ask that you wait until Feb or so that way I don't have a vacancy during the holidays when it is hardest to fill, but otherwise would let you move when you bought a place provided you gave me 30 days notice.

Half the job is prep: fill and caulk, stick sand and spot texture, mask and tape.
