I'm currently in escrow on a 18 acre chile farm in South America and a small single family cottage in Scotland.

Does anyone have any tips on  how to best farm an area from a distance?

Spread yourself out over more than one deal.I'm 70 and have been through 4 of these recessions - the last one being the longest and meanest.If you have two farms that are right next to each other and let's assume they are each worth $100.

State farm lets me do the commercial umbrella and keep original personal policies, but I have to increase the liability on each of the individual policies to 500k from 300k, which will add to each policy.

Income potential is $400 per stall for boarding.It is also suited for 2 show areas, a judges tower, spectator seating, outdoor area and jump course.This Estate is currently a well-respected equine breeding and training farm as well.Not to mention the beautiful riding trails!

About the only place I've found something that might potentially cash flow near where I live (the valley, so west of you it sounds like) and would have consistent occupancy (not farm country) is Oxnard.

I'm sure many people on here have worked for commission in the past or present so my question is this.
