The backsplash is 3 x 6 ice blue glass subway from a local tile store.The hardwood flooring is Lumber Liquidators Grey Mist Bamboo (2.00 per sq ft).

If you opt for quality cabinets, stone counters, tile backsplash, under cabinet lighting, and $5 per square tile floors where you'll spend $15k on the kitchen alone regardless of the area you're in.

I also believe tiled backsplashes. 

If they bring it out after cutting, dismantle the sink, remove and dispose of old formica countertop, install granite counter, backsplashes, and re-install sink it would only be 100 more.

Granite doesn't cost significantly more than laminate counter tops, but drives significant value in the eyes of a buyer, especially when compared to competition without the upgrade.Upgraded accent tile for use in a back splash or tub/shower surround will also drive value.  

Main points we focused on for the flip were: kitchen- matching appliances and clean backsplash with quartz countertopsBathrooms: we tiled bath and shower but actually used same tile and same vanities/lighting so seems that different styles aren't major-original wood floors but first time with contractor that could've done better refinish but think it was major selling point for main floor (used same wood style alternative flooring for kitchen and both baths) then new carpet for basement and spent more for the padding than carpet look/quality, makes huge difference.We used same grey paint color for all walls with clean white trim and baseboard so think those were huge points for immediate offers!

Add in the subway tile backsplash at $3 psf plus install and I sold the house for a pretty penny.

Backsplash and caulk will help that situation but it won't look that great.

Also the granite and sink came to about 1k, we purchased marble backsplash for about 400 and the stainless dishwasher/microwave and range were about 1200.

Im a real estate agent and sometimes still have a really hard time w ARVs. my latest project, i did the same as you low balled it. (220$) but just repulled comps after talking to an appraiser and put it 250-275. which is great bc the whole roof...THE WHOLE ROOF needed to come off. ps I love the backsplash in the kitchen.
