It seems that just looking for justifications, to lay outward blame, that you were correct in your expectations of "perfection" and thus don't have to hold self accountable that maybe your expectations are not aligned with reality. 

Yes absolutely agree on the logistics and justification behind these price hikes and agree overall market is trending upward which might hopefully like you mentioned also mean higher appraisal cost at the end of the day.

Alabama Code Section 12-19-272 allows a judge to require the payment of attorney fees if claims are brought "without substantial justification."-- This is not intended to provide legal advice and does not create and attorney/client relationship.  

I don't think your full time job would permit or appreciate you conducting outside business from their office, so it seems like a justification to me.
