Asking for advice on a Seller disclosure

Erica Carranza
Posted

I am going through something very hard and I am hoping someone here can give me some advise. I bought a property two years ago, I flipped it and sold it. One year later the buyer sent me a demand letter asking for 1 million dollars on things that I didn't disclosure on the sellers disclosure (according to her and also the house is worth 440k). I hired an attorney and we responded to the demand letter that she was fully aware of everything  as we have a copy of her inspection report where clearly addresses all of her allegations. She then came back with a lawsuit for 300k with different allegations. My attorney says that we will go through the discovery process and then request a summary of judgment. The thing is that I am tired of the buyer false allegations as she keeps changing them and everytime she changes them its causing me more money on attorney fees and stress. I would like to counter sue but my attorney says we don't have any good reason to do it. Isn't it false allegations a crime? Any advices. Anybody that has gone through this?
