Pay for an inspector to go out and give you a full residential inspection and have your agent do a video walkthrough of the property. 

As a side note, these are individuals who have already completed a video interview with me and consented to paying for a background check for the position and provided references.

I've already watched a few BreakIntoCRE videos, and they've been really insightful.

@Brandon Hall has some great content, and literally just released a video today about the 100 hours - material participation requirement.

One violent act and they are gone.

So my advice to anyone that would care to hear it is, do not buy a property based upon a video since a video will not exactly show you foundation issues, and other things that only being in person can help with.

It is especially important to go over terms and I like having a video so you can do that and a screening call before showing the place.

A cool feature on VRBO has been the allowance of a video for each property. 

It 100% depends on your goals.not to be facetious, but if you are asking because to watched a YouTube video, the answer is I would not get into STRsif the purpose is you have long term goals of investing in real estate, you enjoy hosting, and you want a place near your daughters college for when you visit, the answer might be that it’s great.it’s a mature market now.
