Hi Everyone, I am wondering if anyone can give me a rough estimate on how much it would cost per square foot to build a new house (land not included) in Durham North Carolina?

For commercial retail, we are interested in it, but we read an article that said you're basically paying double per square foot than regular market value, and it's more an investment in the company and good faith that they will continue to stay in business in that location.

Most SFR home inspectors will perform the same service for multi-unit properties with an additional cost per unit or square foot or similar.

I know that is not much of a start to really dip my foot into real estate investing, but you have to start somewhere and listening to Josh and Brandon got me excited and ready to get my foot in the door.  

Trying to make sure I start out on the right foot and keep things above board.  

And if we are shooting ourselves in the foot by maintaining this arrangment and not allowing someone like Madison to collect payments, i'd like to know why.You bring up a good point that it could get messy if there was a dispute, but are there any other reasons that we should consider?
