Hello to all Floridians on BP!

I had just moved here to Jacksonville about 7 months ago from Upstate New York. I lived in a lovely area on a lake but was just so sick of the cold. I moved here for a full time outside sales position in roofing and safety equipment. I've been listening to the podcast like crazy during my long drives out on the panhandle. I know that is not much of a start to really dip my foot into real estate investing, but you have to start somewhere and listening to Josh and Brandon got me excited and ready to get my foot in the door. So I just bought a few books that I kept hearing people repeat in the famous four of the podcast. So my first step will be to read and hopefully find a good mentor that will benefit from someone willing to work nights and weekends to help in their ventures while I learn along the way. Once I muster up the courage for myself to take the reigns, I think the approach I will be taking will be a buy and hold approach. I plan to buy and hold small MFH's and SFH's. I have never bought a home so I know I will have the advantages of first time home buyer for my first property. So I want to make sure I can sniff out a good deal when I see one. I have a lot to learn to get that stage and this will be first of many posts and thank you BP for giving me a platform to better understand this industry!

Thanks for reading,

John Sculli
