He took false accusations and ran with it.  

(These land contracts/leases/lease with options are typically done without the involvement of a title company which would discover these issues on behalf of the buyer.)To avoid future issues (and accusations about your intent), at the very least, if you're going to do these types of deals, I recommend following a best practice of:Qualifying the buyer using Dodd-Frank rules.Disclosing back taxes/utility bills to the buyer.Disclosing any known outstanding municipal notices/condemnations and where the buyer can find out how to get the property back into compliance.Using documents/contracts written for use in Michigan.Record the land contract/lease/lease with option.

Are they consistently accused of being unresponsive? 

There is a tenant that is making very severe accusations about another tenant whom which they agreed to shared residency with. 

Hopefully you have it on your written requirement list that you always require copies of bank statements when the household only has 1 income (including if you have a single person), otherwise these applicants could accuse you of discrimination.

@Jay Hinrichs I can't tell if it is a gift or a curse but as a kid I was always accused of not knowing when to quit.  

"Our policy is firm." or "Our lease is firm." or "If we made exceptions to the lease for one tenant, we could be accused of discriminations if we didn't allow it for another tenant." or "I am sorry this is a business and there is no budget for that request.

I didn't care enough to come back until you accused me of being a normie. 

They even claimed that I evicted them minutes after paying rent (days late, after several attempts to get them to pay, and still didn't pay late fees) when in reality they started making all kinds of bizzare accusations so just gave them notice to move out at the end of the month.

I mean I do not want to see any lynching or false accusations, but what if we had a reporting feature where a team of volunteers or something could investigate?
