@Samuel Vogt I did do the analysis with both sides rented out and even then I would be looking at maybe $200 out of pocket that I would have to pay, but I would still have to find a place to live then!

Hi Samuel,You may be able to structure it where it's quicker and easier if you lend the money to an LLC (as a commercial loan) where the borrower isn't considered an owner occupant.
