Unfortunately, my contract has a three week period where if "my partner does not approve" where I have a spread of 14 business days.

I just literally closed one of these in 15 business days. 

Basically the assumption is that people signing a contract have 3 BUSINESS days to have their attorneys review the contract and they can back out for essentially any reason. 

If you are, Federal rule requires a payoff demand be provided within 7 (business) days of the request or, an explanation for why one can't be provided.I ignore payoff requests when the requestor can't connect the dots to show me they are entitled to my information.

The relationship worked out great because any real estate agent in the game for a considerable about of time is not going to have every moment of their business day available to you.

For example, I might say that "we will agree that your taxes to the date of settlement will be credited to the amounts I will owe you toward the sale price" or "your rent is due on the first and a late fee will be added after three business days".

Should they pass it through to your on call staff for them to make a decision, or would you prefer for staff not to be bothered until the next business day?

I am currently purchasing a 2-unit multi-family (1st time) that is fully occupied and getting ready to close in 2 business days.
