:D Let's get this thing underway!

While there are some great projects underway, most are very small scale - just a few city lots at a time.I've worked with one on the East Side and in addition to growign vegetables in the summer, they have a hoop house for year-round cool-weather produce, a lot with fruit trees, a lot with chickens and goats and they purchased the old, abandoned corner store and turned it into a community center with a library, computers and meeting area.

Once the repairs here are underway and almost finished, the plan is to begin looking for a duplex/triplex (or something that could be easily converted into one) and use an FHA loan on that to secure the property, and move into that as well. 

However, it is important to thoroughly research the area and understand what developments are already underway or planned.

I have a flip underway and recently embarked on direct mail marketing campaigns for off market properties with a focus on absentee owners of 1-4 units in the suburbs north of the city.
