I am hoping that the properties I lock in prior to quitting can bring in that much so I do not dip in to savings while traveling around areas with low cost of living (SE Asia, S America and our off grid RV in the states/Mexico).After purchasing my second property (allocating $130k) I will have a remaining savings of $200,000 which I prefer to not dip in to.

New Mexico and Colorado resort areas, as well as properties in Cape Cod. 

Lastly, I live in New Mexico, and I will most likely use a management company for the property.

very common here too, also many of them are showing with Mexico Driver License haha I was surprise at the beginning :) but they have good job and actually their income is better than let's say, those who have SSN.

Odds are high that you will seek a more reasonable place to live in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, or Arizona over being a lifetime renter in San Diego, anyway...
