I know I just typed you an essay but I said all that just to say this:  Be careful with these people who pop up in your messages claiming to be private lenders and asking for upfront loan origination fees.

They will move on and look for the next person who isn't smart enough to figure out what they are up to.It's highly likely that if there was a claim on your own policy it may not be covered if it was being sublet for a separate commercial purpose (AirBnB, etc)... so I would be really careful about making sure you are covered insurance-wise.Proceed at your own risk, and all the best!

The gov signed into law some legislation that is unfortunately good for insurance companies/bad for anyone making a claim but that brought companies back in the market at the increased competition drove the rates down.
