We are such a visual society and there is no going back on that.

After doing a lot of research, i believed that investing in real estate from afar (in this case the U.S) would not be a good starting point since i cant visually see anything and put a lot more trust into someone.

We really stretched ourselves thin. we did not perform our own inspections because we were busy raising finances .. and our agent insisted we use the same company who did the initial inspections to “get a report in our name” .. we went for visual inspection with our agent and found the master bathtub was  upside down — they said there was a chip and seller was fixing the tub.

The fee increase for the permit was not exorbitant so that likely won't be a deterrent for professional hosts and investors.

Unfortunely, it seems you cannot be any sort of deterrent from others investing into the program, even if means losses to accommate unlicensed jobs.
