Overseas Military Base investing
Hello,
I am fairly new to real estate investing and i want to believe im in a prime situation to start. I am a contractor overseas (Germany) and as a network engineer for the DOD i will be working at Military bases.
At this moment i am at Ramstein Air Base and im fairly familiar with the area around me and i believe there is great investing opportunities here. I was in the Air Force for 8 years, so i believe i understand their thinking and i know how their finance SHOULD work.
I wanted to see the thought process or opinions on starting on real-estate investing overseas. I understand German laws and finances will be different therefore i was hoping to find someone who is familiar with the process. Go over pro's and cons and talk about overall situations that "you" had. Whether wholesaling, flipping, BRRR, etc. i would love to pick your brain.
Thank you all for your time.

There are quite a few military specific investing groups out there. @David Pere is one of the leading thought leaders in that space.
As for overseas based investing, @Travis Watts has talked quite a bit about his experience of buying properties on his own then gradually transitioning over to syndication investing. In my opinion that strategy is best for long distance investing where you need to rely on others to find the properties and handle the day to day.
