Hey there,Pricing not bad, I'm from ATL and just got my carpet done for one of my rentals for $8 per yard (90 yards), 3 rooms, including labor, padding, tack strip ( no carpet base) and paid $50 for stairway (16 stairs), guys were pro, good luck

AFAIK, the only thing the city would require to turn it into a deck (maybe other than purchasing a permit) is a railing all around, and a stairway.

Many times, the municipality / township still provides the usual "streets and sanitation (scavenger/refuse)" stuff as well as water and sewer, police and fire, ...For condos, the HOA usually covers everything outside of the unit: the hallways, the elevators, stairways, surrounding structure, etc.

You could keep it as an expansive single family home (~6500 ft^2), but the existing layout is not geared for modern living - a 20' wide grand stairway w/ 16' ceilings just isn't in demand these days.  

As for the removal of snow and ice, the Code provides that the landlord shall maintain all means of egress at all times in a safe, operable condition and shall keep all exterior stairways, fire escapes, egress balconies and bridges free of snow and ice.

We did receive a settlement from the city for lack of use and access to that portion of our property but we still need to maintain it, we can access it by a stairway but for larger items we have walked our mower, over the corner of the neighbors lot. 

You may have to move the stairways or their existing construction may comply. 

MPR repairs include: cost to install co (not sure what this means but they listed it for $80), replace damaged light fixtures $500, replace damaged doors $800, install railings on both stairways $1200, fix damaged front stoop $900, fix peeling paint $500.

Did you create a separate outdoor stairway and entrance to the upstairs unit?
