The feedback i have gotten is that it is the locals that you need to watch out for -- not the business travelers or vacationers.I recommend you create a small kitchen space in your basement apartment with a bar sink, microwave, small refrigerator and Keurig. 

I believe in cooking rather than microwaving a business.

its happens we just got two new construction homes that were finished hit.. they took stoves and micro waves and ruined the brand new hard wood floors.. it was turned over to our insurance.

Carpet throughout the main living areas, vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms, microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, fenced in patio, and fireplace.

Just for clarification, by appliances I'm talking about fridge and stove rather than microwave and toaster.

microwaves?

I submitted the check after their office hours and she made me sign a  holding deposit form which says I will be responsible to pay prorated rent for the time period they hold the apartment for me (max of 2 weeks, March 26th).My application was approved the next day but there were conflicts regarding some of the advertised amenties ( microwave and clubhouse) which they decided to dishonor saying the condition is as it was shown.

His stuff was all out on the sidewalk on moving night and I even picked up a few chairs, a TV set, and microwave, after turning down his offers to sell me some of the stuff, before neighborhood scavengers got to it. 

I was thinking of putting in some other snacks like microwave popcorn, cookies, chocolate...but, I would love to hear ideas from those that have been offering such items to their guests.
