Many Real Estate Instructors or Guru's out there will charge you big bucks for their program and then once you have purchased their program, you find the system doesn't work or you never hear from them again. 

You're spot on when you say there's no secret o wholesaling but learning can be much faster from a good teacher who knows how to transfer that experience/knowledge to others.When we train instructors, we beat into them that it's not about you telling them everything you know, it's teaching them everything they 'need to know' and when they need to know it.

Without us knowing him there is no way we can tell you if the $500 is worth it or a complete waste. 20 hours of instruction from a crappy instructor would still not be worth $500.
